The Very Thought of You..

The very thought of your voice
Reminds me of the quiet murmur of slow jazz
Drifting across the sea of faces
Arriving to my ear
Waking my senses.

The very thought of your smile
Shocks me with the tenderness of chiffon dresses
Gliding through the scent of summer
Tugging my very heartstrings
Refreshing my soul.

The very thought of your gait
Rouses me from the revelry of sweet wine
Moving into the shadow of night
Haunting my consciousness
Breaking my heart.

The very thought of you
Is beautiful,
Is loving.
Is lonesome,
Is agony.

The very thought of you
Tells me not to think about you.
