The Eternal Ramblings of a Conflicting Mind

Today, I feel I have aged. The wine flows freely still And the music seeps into the windless night. Today, I feel I am sad. The mood is joyous And the chatter sweetly lingers. Today, I feel I am glad. The heart lingers And the pain gently reminds. I yearn, but I am also at peace. The lark calls but silence remains.

Erect in a sea of nameless faces I stand in quiet repose. Reaching for solace Receiving only hapless yearning. Defiant in the roar of endless chatter I dream of rising Venus. Longing for respite Hoping for quiet forgetting. Absence knows no mercy 3 April 2012, 02:13

I see you, and yet I do not see you. A wisp of spring both Defiant and radiant Moving across the mind Like images tumbling along     a brook and fades. I hear you, and I yet I do not hear you. An instance of playful words both Childlike and alluring Spoken as with the moving sun Rising from the darkness of the night.
